Canning

Finally got my grape jelly canned on Thursday and Friday (Feb. 21-22). Then Saturday I finished the remaining into quart size juice.  I ended up with 16 jellies and 6 juice.

Window Coverings and Wooden Valence

We have actually had these hanging for a little while now but I thought I would finally blog them.  Mom made some window coverings for the girls bedroom windows and the loft window.
Then dad made the wooden valences to go over each of them.  Each valence is different; however, you can't really tell from the pictures.  I think they all turned out really good.  Thanks!!

Happy Valentines Day!!

So this year for Valentines Day we got the normal chocolates and stuffed animals for the girls (and chocolate for Jon and I of course).  In addition we got another fun gift. A new dishwasher.  As of last night it decided to call it quits...so sad.  Out new dishwasher will be delivered sometime between
8 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Wednesday (kind of a large window).  Another surprise we got today was Kylee has pink eye.  At 3:00 I got called down to the office to take Kylee home.  Fun Fun Fun.  I guess you could say she decorated her eye pink for the Valentine celebration.  Her tonsils were also infected and you could tell, but the strep test came back negative, he gave us the meds for it just in case though.

Two Weeks....

So I found out today from the Oral Surgeon that I can only eat liquid/soft chew items for two weeks.  It is going to be a long and interesting two weeks as far as food goes. Along with it comes a couple of prescriptions to help reduce inflammation and relax the muscles.  But hoping that this will help prevent  a surgery on my jaw (at least for the near future).  Guess only time will tell.
