Jon asked me to go to Walmart after work today to get some cereal. I thought that was weird because I had just told her the day before that she may need to eat some of my cereal until we could go get her more. But I went and got it anyway.

When I walked in the door I walked in to the kitchen being all decorated. Brittany had asked Jon to stall me so she could come home from work and decorate. It was definitely a surprise. She did a great job. It was really sweet of her. Jungle style.

Last night I felt well enough to make Brittany her birthday cake. Glad I did it then because my feeling well didn't last long. She wanted me to make the fudge cake. I think it turned out well. I also ran over to Zurchers and bought some balloons as a surprise for her.

We did Brittany's birthday dinner tonight at Olive Garden. Kylee, Porter, Brittany and Jon went. I wasn't feeling well still so I didn't go. They brought some back for me.

They got in at a good time and got seated right away. After they were done it was pretty busy. I felt bad for missing it. But was glad she had fun.

I haven't been feeling well for a while so tonight after work I went into instacare to see what was going on. Well...I have pneumonia. Not exactly the way I was planning on spending Brittany's 21st birthday. Apparently it is in my right lung and in 2 of the 3 lobes. So I get to do a double antibiotic. The only way they found it was with an xray. They couldn't hear it, didn't have a fever so they did the xray.

We ended up with pizza and cupcakes for Brittany's bday dinner tonight. I didn't get home till late because I was trying to get my meds (which didn't work out). So she was a good sport and was ok with what we ended up with.

Tonight I had a fever spike. So I guess I'm not going to work tomorrow. First day back from Christmas break. I have been sick since we got out for our break. Kind of annoying.

Brittany's Says.....

Quote of the day from my soon to be 10 yr old, "I don't want to be healthy! I want to be big and fat like you! Hmmm ya thanks.
B: "Dad I got permanent marker on the table. Can you clean it off before mommy sees it?" Jon: Laughing says "You are supposed to use your place mat" B: "Please come clean it off" nothing... B: Comes upstairs, "Mom dad drew on a balloon with permanent marker and got it on the table. He didn't use a place mat." Me: "Jon?" B: Runs downstairs "See dad if you don't clean it up, mommy is going to blame you!" So I guess she is figuring out new ways to get something she wants accomplished quickly?
Believing can make things come true
We were talking about how big things are and Brittany says: Mom you remind me of a Gar Fish. Jon laughs and said at least it wasn't a dragon.
So, today at the dinner table, our 8yr old, who is learning the articles of faith, says "we believe that chocolate is the yummest thing ever!!!!" hehehe must the the 14th one.
So my 8yr old, said to Shanna, "you should work at Home Depot... That way you can be the one to hand out the popcorn!!!"
"Daddy are you Santa Clause"?, I say why do you ask? she says "cause your fat like him"...hmmmm, not sure how to take that.
What does Santa drink?...Coke?
Tonight while getting ready to go to bed, Brittany said (7rs old) "daddy read me 3 stories tonight", Jon says no we usually only do 2, why should we do 3.. she says, "Cause I am CUTE and you LOVE me.... yup.. lost that one.. I think she ended up with 4.
After the first day of 2nd Grade.."You mean we get to go to school tomorrow...this day just gets better and better!"
At 7 yrs old: You know what my favorite part about nature is? The insects.
My favorite room in your house is the food storage room.
The lady has puffy legs.
Bless daddy that he will have a good day at work. Bless mommy that she will have a good day with housework, or whatever.

Kylee Says.....

July 2, 2018 I told Kylee she needs some Tennis Shoes for her tennis lesons. She asked what they were. I told her it is what we all wear. She said oh, I thought you said "tennis shoes". I said I did. She said oh I always say "tenna shoes".
July 1, 2018 Talking about the sacrament Kylee said we renew our sins when we take the sacrament. We laughed so hard.

So, tomorrow is Pizza day at the elementary school. In her prayers tonight our youngest prayed to have a good day at lunch with pizza! Struck me funny, oh I have taught her too well.

During one of the football games, while the teams were lining up to run a play, Kylee (5 yrs old) says "why do they stick their butts up in the air"?
At 5 yrs old: "Dad can I go to a hotel with Patrick? It has a pool?"
Can you let a girl spend her time in the bathroom!
Just gotta let a man be a man...
Maybe that is why my tummy is big...it is having a baby.
I am thankful for my fridge, the microwave, and my family, Brittany, mommy, daddy, and me.
I'm dancing...and so are my cheeks.
