We have been wanting to get away to the mountains for quite a while this summer. We finally had a free weekend so we headed out to Echo Lake up in the Uintahs. Since it was a holiday weekend it was quite crowded everywhere. Even when we got back into the lake there were quite a lot of people around the lake. I hadn't ever seen so many cars and campers before at this particular lake. People were parked in areas that people weren't supposed to be in. But we found a little area that the kids could fish if they wanted to and we could launch our little inflatable kayak.
Our pump didn't blow up the kayak all the way so it wasn't as stiff as it should have been. So Jon didn't dare go out in it. It ended up just Kylee and I going around the lake. Brittany said she didn't want to go for a ride.
Kylee kept wanting to paddle, so I would let her take turns. We didn't get very far, and sometimes we just went in circles, but she was having fun.
Hopefully we can get a better pump so we can get the kayak blown up better for our next trip. It was fun riding around in it on the smooth lake.
| Kylee wanted to go to the other side of the lake. So of we are headed. |
We tied Kylee to a tree so she could paddle around by herself for a while.
| Brittany found what she called a dragonfly larva and put it in this green bottle and yes brought it home. |
