Today we headed out bright and early to meet everyone in Nephi at Lisa's Kitchen for breakfast by 8:00. We of course were a little late, but we got served first, so we sat in the right chairs. After breakfast we headed out to the Fish Lake area to begin our search. It actually didn't take everyone very long this year. I think we were eating lunch around 12:30 or so. Maybe my time is off a little, but either way we were done earlier than normal.
There was a little snow in the shaded areas of the mountain that we had to walk around. But other than that it was dry. We didn't even get to drive through mud puddles. Jon was disappointed at that. I really enjoyed that the weather was warm. I wasn't freezing the entire time we were there. I don't remember putting on my jacket really until it was time for lunch.
Kristy and Craig's family were the only ones who didn't come. But they usually don't because it is to far to travel, my parents get a tree for them anyway. Well actually Jenny, Cierra, and their new baby were unable to attend either, but they usually come. The baby was just way to small this year. Can't wait to see him still!!!
We made pretty good time on the way home. We did notice our tree slid back a little bit so we fixed it a couple times on the way home, which obviously added a little time to our travel. We were home by 6:30. Plenty of time for showers and bed at a decent time.
We needed a tall skinny tree to fit in the area we have for it. I hope it works out for us! This year I hope we can still smell the pine smell. Last year we couldn't really smell it. But we still liked our tree.
