Another Uranium Mine and Slot Canyon

Since we didn't actually make it to the barred mine yesterday we headed out for a different one today that Rob and Heather knew about.  We went in the long way so we could see if our truck could make it back out the same way if it started raining.  Since the other way out was a slot canyon.

It was pretty interesting to see the mine.  But it was really stinky!!!  Brittany really enjoyed that we went there so she could see her mine.  

As we were walking back down it started sprinkling.  So we hurried and got in our vehicles and drove out the slot canyon.  Not recommended, but we made it ok.  

We headed over to Swasey Cabin.  Rained the whole time so we had some good mud.  Since it was raining we didn't spend tons of time there nor did we find the Ice Box.  Maybe next time we can look for it.

Hit lots of mud and rain on the way out.  The road was washed away in an area so Rob made a trail around it since the truck wouldn't be able to make it.  Sterling went through a bypass. Rob tried but didn't make it (after showing us our alternate route he went back so he could try the road part).  So Rob had to go through the main road on the washed out part.  Steven made it look so easy when he tried.

Ended up heading to Green River when we got out for some dinner.  We didn't want to mess with the rain and mud at camp to make dinner.  Had a nice meal.  By the time we got back to camp it was dark and still rainy so we all headed to our separate places for bed.
